The International Korean Adoptee Associations (IKAA) will have the DVD available for online purchase at www.ikaa.org in the next few weeks. Distribution of the DVD will be through IKAA.

GAJ Productions is happy to have been a part of the IKAA (International Korean Adoptee Assocations) Gathering 2007 in Seoul, Korea. Just returning home with many images and lots of hours of video…here is a quick taste of the moments we had. GAJ Productions is excited to announce the most recent project to be filmed in Seoul, Korea. Hired by IKAA (International Korean Adoptee Associations) to film the largest gathering of Korean adoptees. Over 600 Korean Adoptees from around the world (over 17 different countries) will return to their homeland at the beginning of August 2007 “to build bridges between Korea, Korean adoptees, and adoptive countries.”

“The Gathering 2007 will be larger in scale [than previous Gatherings] and will present participants with a program that includes the Adoptee World Cup at the Seoul Race Park, the ArtGathering at Kyunghee University, the Research Symposium and Workshops at Dongguk University, a Fashion Show, social activities and other events encompassing both traditional and contemporary Korean cultural elements.”

“Formally established in 2004, IKAA is the largest existing network of international Korean adoptees, reaching out to thousands worldwide. The IKAA Network was created to better serve the international Korean adoptee community, to promote the exchange of ideas and information, and build bridges between Korea, Korean adoptees, and adoptive countries.”

GAJ Productions is proud to be a part of this Gathering and looks forward to documenting the stories of this community and event in Seoul, Korea.

The film, 42 People…10 Days…1 Country, created by GAJ Productions’ Graeme F. Byrd placed 3rd in the Taglit-Birthright israel Alumni Film Contest.

Graeme completed the film in 2005 upon his return from a 10 day trip to Israel on a Birthright Israel trip with Livnot U’Lehibanot. The full version (20 minutes) was initially created to document this memorable experience for the individuals on the trip.

GAJ Productions thanks the individuals who voted for the film, the judges and Taglit-Birthright israel for sponsoring this competition to allow alumni to share their memories.

GAJ Productions is excited to announce that 42 People…10 Days…1 Country is a finalist for the Taglit-Birthright israel Alumni Film Contest.

The film, 42 People…10 Days…1 Country, was created by Graeme F. Byrd in 2005 upon his return from a 10 day trip to Israel on a Birthright Israel trip with Livnot U’Lehibanot. The full version (20 minutes) was initially created to document this memorable experience for the individuals on the trip. GAJ Productions is excited that Taglit-Birthright israel is sponsoring this competition for films about these important trips.

The short version (5 minutes) of 42 People…10 Days…1 Country is 1 of 5 finalists selected by a panel of judges. If you are an alumnus of Birthright israel, you can vote for Graeme’s film on the Birthright israel website (Please note, only alumni can vote) before May 15, 2007.

With the launch of the website approaching, Portland was surprised by the quick arrival of the 2007 snow storm. To celebrate the launch of the GAJ Productions website, it felt most appropriate to showcase photography of the city where the operations are based. We sure are lucky to only have snow once in a great while.

While we do not receive lots of snow in the city, the 3 inches that did arrive softened the city sounds and gave us a new vision of the beautiful Portland. Some of the most simple aspects of the city take on a new look and capture the eye in a different way.
